BEHS Archery Rules and Regulations
Updated September 2023
Cellphones:
Communication:
Communication is key, please let us know as far in advance as possible that you will miss a practice or tournament. For tournaments especially, we still pay whether you show up or not, so if we have enough advance notice we can remove you from the tournament roster and not pay for your entry fee for that tournament, so please keep that in mind. It is wasteful to the rest of the team if you do not communicate with the coaches.

Attendance:
Practices:
Practices are from 6:30-7:30 and 7:30-8:30 on Tuesday/Thursday with 3D/Optional on Mondays 6:30-8:30.
Grades:
We are sent grades weekly. If an archer has anything below a C, they are required to be placed on a practice only roster and are ineligible to participate in tournaments. If they maintain that grade below a C for an extended period, they are moved to a no participation roster. This is non-negotiable. Not only is it required by the school, but as a team we put their education first.
- Absolutely no cellphones use, during practices, unless it is an emergency and approved by a coach.
- Please turn/leave cellphones on silent for the duration of practices/tournaments.
- During tournaments, leave your cellphone in your bow case or with your parent.

- Closed toed, full cover shoes are required, you will not be able to participate in any capacity without. That means your entire foot, including the heel, is covered. No sandals, no flip flops, if you must ask the answer is likely no. If you show up to practice or tournaments without adequate footwear, you will be sent home.
- Absolutely no hoodies or jackets on the line.
- Hoodie strings/jacket zippers can get caught in the bowstring/cams. (This has happened multiple times this season.
- Bow strings like to get caught on baggy sleeves and this will cause issues with your shooting.
- Shirts should not reveal anything your BE Archery shirt does not.
- If something comes uncovered while you shoot, it is too short and you will be asked to put on another shirt or excused from practice.
- Pants/shorts should be of appropriate length per the BEHS dress guidelines.
- If your pants/shorts do not stay up on their own then they do not need to be worn to practice.
