BEHS Tournament Schedule

There are a few that have said they will be around to help all day, I have already entered your name in signup genius in the open, applicable spots.

Some of you will be moved as needed to other positions depending on the help we need during the flight.

If you are helping out in the morning, please be at the school by 8:30 at the latest, otherwise please show up for your assigned time. If there are any additional donations for the raffles, concessions, or for the hospitality room, please bring them tonight if at all possible.

Please wear a mask while inside the building!

Archers please wear your 2022 Archery shirt and jeans/khakis with no holes while you are helping out.

If you are signed up to work later in the day but are able to be there earlier or are able to stay beyond your scheduled time the extra help will be greatly appreciated.

The first flight on Friday is at 7PM and the last starts at 9PM. The first flight on Saturday is at 9AM and the last starts at 5PM. Concessions, Raffles, and Admissions will be closing at 5:30PM and the Lane Officials and Announcers will be done at 6:00PM. We are planning for awards around 6:30PM.

Coaches & Hospitality Room

If you have a dish or snacks/drinks you would like to donate for the coaches/hospitality room please bring that Thursday or Friday (13th and 14th) between 6:30-8:30. Any additional donations are welcome!

We have had a few people offering to donate additional baskets or items to raffle for the tournament and that is greatly appreciated! You can bring it to the school during any practice or if we need to meet with you outside of practice we will make that happen as well.

Bullitt East Tournament

The Bullitt East Annual Tournament will be on January 13th, 14th, and 15th this year as the calendar has shown for some time now. Since it is right around the corner, it is now time to outline how things will go and what we need of you:

Bullitt East Archers are shooting on the 13th at their normal practice times (6:30 or 7:30).
Parents are welcome to attend at that time for their archers.
Friday night will be in the CCC only for 3 flights.
Saturday will be both the Big Gym and CCC from 9AM to 5PM.
We have a list of supplies each archer should bring for concessions, raffle, ect. That list is being shown to each archer tonight as well as featured in this post.
Please bring what you are tasked with bringing on or before the 13th! Everything should be available from Kroger, Value Market, or Walgreens.
We need volunteers! Below is a list of the positions we need filled for the tournament:
- Announcer
- Admissions
- Concessions
- Lane Official
- Score Cards and Receipts
- Scoring
- Raffle
- Extra Runners (Archers going back and forth between gyms with concessions for the CCC booth, extra supplies, ect.)

We are working on a signup genius for these as there are about 25 positions needing filled every hour for the 8 hour day. Between archers and parents, that means if everyone is able to fill a spot for at least 3 hours we will have more than enough people! This is the one tournament we are guaranteed each year and it funds most of our tournaments for the remainder of the season and the start of the next. It is extremely important to us!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We hope that everyone had a good Christmas and an awesome start to the new year. With practice starting back up tomorrow we want to make sure everyone is healthy and ready to return!
Please note:

If you have been sick, please do not return to practice until you are healthy (for covid that means a negative test).
If you have been around someone who has been sick, please take a test before returning to practice to make sure you are negative.
Until further notice we will be wearing masks again, at all times in the building. We had been getting used to shooting without masks on Thursdays, but we cannot do this anymore.
Better safe than sorry! If you have any questions please ask. There is so much potential with this team we do not want us to lose any season time out sick.

Also, with our tournament coming up in 2 weeks we will need a lot of help! On Tuesday we will have a list for what each archer needs to bring in (hotdogs, buns, drinks, ect.) and a link will be sent out to sign up for the various positions needed to run our tournament.
Positions needed:

Lane Officials
Concession Workers
Ticket Entry
Raffle Sellers
Announcers

Archers will be able to be lane officials, concession workers, and announcers. The only exception is archers cannot handle money. More info about this will be sent out tomorrow and explained to the archers during each practice.

These positions will be listed with how many we need of each and the time we need you for. These will only be needed for Friday night and during the tournament time (9am - 6pm) Saturday January 14th and 15th. You will not be there the whole day unless you just want to, a couple of hours from everyone makes a world of difference!
